Denmark Updates Online Application AR6 for Quick Job Start Under Fast-Track Scheme

What changed

The U.S. Department of Labour has issued a final rule. This rule cancels 29 CFR Part 42. Part 42 used to make formal procedures mandatory for agencies to coordinate enforcement efforts regarding migrant and seasonal farmworkers. This change takes effect from 30 September 2026. It aims to make operations more efficient by removing old rules. These old rules no longer match how the Department is organised or how it works. The Department says this change will make its enforcement strategy fit better with modern, flexible, and effective ways of coordinating that it already uses.

What changed

Australia has made a new legislative instrument governing how applications for the Maritime Crew (Temporary) (Class ZM) visa must be lodged. The Migration (Arrangements for Maritime Crew Visa Applications) Instrument 2026, LIN 26/025, replaces the previous 2016/115 instrument and establishes the approved forms and application methods for Maritime Crew visa applications. The new instrument was made on 24 September 2026, registered on 25 September 2026 and will commence on 1 November 2026.

What changed

On 24 September 2026, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Programme (BC PNP) changed the requirements for its Innovate: High Economic Impact stream invitations. The lowest hourly wage for certain job offers is now $52, and the minimum annual salary is $105,000. At the same time, the minimum points score for other invitations in this stream was set at 131, and 714 invitations were sent out.

What changed

The United States Government has extended Proclamation 10973, which restricts the entry of certain H-1B nonimmigrant workers, for an additional 12 months. This extension means the requirement for a $100,000 payment for H-1B petitions, with limited exceptions, will continue to apply until 21 September 2027. The measure aims to combat abuses of the H-1B programme by discouraging the hiring of lower-paid, lower-skilled foreign labour and promoting recruitment for high-skilled roles, thereby safeguarding the U.S. labour market.
