Finland Refrains from Issuing Permits to Certain Wild-Berry Sector Employers Due to Irregularities

The Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) has now made first decisions. It will not grant work permits to four employers in the wild-berry sector. Migri is looking at six more cases. This policy started on 6 August 2026. It stops these employers from hiring people from other countries for 3 to 12 months. This affects permits for seasonal work and residence permits for work. Migri made these decisions because it found problems and neglect with these employers. The goal is to make sure working conditions are fair.
