Labor Certification Process for the Temporary Employment of Foreign Workers in Agriculture in the United States: Adverse Effect Wage Rate Updates for Non-Range Occupations
What changed
The Department of Labor (DOL) has announced new Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWR). These rates are for H-2A temporary farm workers in jobs that are not on a range. The AEWR sets the lowest wage employers must pay. This helps make sure that wages for US workers are not negatively affected. The new rates start on 3 August 2026. For certain groups affected by a court order, the rates start on 17 August 2026.
