Solomon Islands Introduces New Electronic Visa System and Border Management Reforms

The Solomon Islands Government has officially put in place a new electronic visa system and full border management changes. These changes started on 6 September 2026. They are under the Immigration Act 2012. The Immigration (Amendment) Visa Regulation 2025 and the Immigration (Amendment) Fees Schedule 2025 also support these changes. They introduce online visa applications and 34 new types of visa. The aim is to make travel easier and to make borders more secure.
