USCIS Reaches H-2B Cap for First Half of FY 2027

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced it received enough petitions to meet the H-2B visa limit, called the cap, for the first half of the 2027 financial year. Because of this, USCIS will send back any new H-2B visa petitions that count towards this cap if they arrived after 4 September 2026. These petitions would have asked for a job to start before 1 April 2027. This affects employers who want to bring H-2B workers to the United States during this time.
