Germany Transitions Initial Orientation Course Funding to Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) from November 2026
What changed
Germany's Initial Orientation Courses (Erstorientierungskurse, EOK) help people who have claimed asylum and migrants. These courses will change their funding source. The money will move from the current German government budget to the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). The AMIF is a fund from the European Union that supports national efforts for asylum and migration. This change starts in November 2026, for the new funding period. EOK Central Offices and course providers across Germany must adjust their administrative work and how they manage funds.
