Norway Lifts Suspension on Returns to Lebanon

With the suspension lifted, Norwegian authorities can once again carry out returns to Lebanon where the person has no legal basis to remain and where return is permitted under the applicable Norwegian and international legal framework. The lifting does not create an automatic removal mechanism. Each case remains subject to the relevant rules, including any assessment required to determine whether return would expose the individual to treatment prohibited under applicable protection and human-rights obligations.
