Inflation Adjustment for EOIR OBBBA Fees; Fiscal Year 2027
From 1 October 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice's Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) will increase fees for certain immigration applications, motions, and appeals. This applies to Fiscal Year 2027. This change is a mandatory yearly inflation update. It applies to fees created by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). OBBBA ensures fees keep pace with the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U). The CPI-U measures the average change over time in the prices paid by urban consumers for a market basket of consumer goods and services.
