Before 9 March 2026, the immigration median wage was NZD $33.56 per hour. This meant the related wage limits were: * 80% of median wage: NZD $26.85 per hour * 150% of median wage: NZD $50.34 per hour * 200% of median wage: NZD $67.12 per hour Also, since 10 March 2025, the general AEWV median wage rule had already been removed. AEWV employers instead had to pay at least the market rate for the job.
