New Authority to Assess Non-State-Approved Educational Programmes in Denmark

From 15 September 2026, the unit that works as the secretariat for the Danish Accreditation Council will be responsible for giving advisory statements about educational programmes that do not have state approval. The Danish Evaluation Institute (EVA) used to do this, and the Ministry of Children and Education did it temporarily. This task is very important for students who apply for Danish residence permits. This change is administrative. It does not affect the rules for getting a student residence permit in Denmark.
