U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Continues Suspension of Entry for Individuals from Countries with Quarantinable Communicable Disease Outbreaks

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reissued an order. This order continues to temporarily stop certain people from entering the United States. It uses powers under Sections 362 and 365 of the Public Health Service Act. This applies to people who have been in countries with a quarantinable communicable disease outbreak within the last 21 days. A quarantinable communicable disease is a serious illness that public health rules can control by stopping people from moving freely. The order started on 11 September 2026. It will stay in force until 4:59 p.m. EDT on 11 October 2026.
