UK Increases Support for Border Management and Launches New Border Security Project in Tajikistan

The United Kingdom has announced more support for border management in Tajikistan, and it is also starting a new border security project. This initiative, which will be delivered through the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Programme Office in Dushanbe, aims to improve how borders are managed. It will focus on making operations more effective, improving training, building up the capacity of organisations, and addressing gender differences among staff who work directly on border management. This commitment was confirmed on 17 September 2026, showing that the UK is now more involved in regional security.
